Adrian, when I got to the paragraph dialog and tabbed thru the options
the mirroring was unchecked and the next two settings were set to 0%,
and I chose the set as default, then ok, and even exited word and
started to make the envelope again. but insert+f reported the same
results as before.
as I understand, the delivery and return address for an envelope can be
different from the main document area.
I had a problem with setting the text/backgroubnd colors, because for a
while it was reporting as white on white. but it's now black on white,
as expected.

Mario,
Go into the paragraph dialog and tab through the options. You'll get to point
size. This appears twice, and both need to be set to 0.
I get to the "paragraph" dialog by selecting the desired section such as
control-a for all), then press the applications key, then p, enter.
I'm not sure why Ariel isn't set if you know how to set the font. Are you sure
you're selecting the entire text you wish to have in that font?
I hope this is clear. I'm typing while on hold with music blasting in my left
ear!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] failing of Word 2010
using Word 2010, I am wanting to make an envelope to mail something but
something puzzles me. I can type out the delivery address just fine, and
when it gets printed, I get someone to take a look at it and they tell
me it looks funny.
but when I use the insert+f on the delivery address edit box I hear:
point,
black on white,
Mixed font,
Mixed style,
Line spacing: Single,
Paragraph formatting: Aligned left.
I know how to set the font size and text/background color, but what
about "mixed font" and "mixed style". where are these adjusted, or can
they be adjusted? why is the point size not being reported as 14 as I've
set it, or why is the font name not being reported as Ariel?
is this a failing of Word 2010, or is there a JAWS quick setting that
needs to be tweaked?
