Kevin, your general comment might have some validity, but ESET Nod32 is valid, reputable security software. However, I'll add that the security expert I rely on switched me from Nod32 to Vipre. Effectiveness ratings in this area seem to go up and down like yoyos. I wouldn't be surprised if Nod32 roared back one day.

I've had no problems since I installed Vipre, you can use other programs too but I have not needed to. most likely the guy was just trying to sell you something. I encountered that once when I installed microsoft office 2016 I had some problems downloading it from the microsoft website I called the number that the software told me, and the guy told me I had viruses that was preventing me from downloading and he suggested I buy I forget what software but he said I could buy it from him. I knew he was fooling me so I said thanks I'll deal with it myself. so those classes you attend to help protect you are not always good. you can do better if you practice good computing like don't surf into those dark realms like porn or hacked software like cracks and serial numbers. this is just my two cents! -----Original Message----- From: wayne smith Sent: Sunday, April 24, 2016 4:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] Internet security Today I attended a clinic at a retail computer store that reviewed internet security and the ways of protecting your computer. The presenter told me, after the clinic, that he uses a security suite under the name of Eset. The virus program in this package is Nod32. Does anybody have experience with the accessibility of Nod32 in particular and the suite in general? The presenter emphasized that no one program can offer complete protection from virus, Trojans, spyware and so on. Your thoughts and experiences would be appreciated. In addition to the Eset suite he said he also used Malwarebytes. It seems like a lot of stuff. Thanks, in advance, for your help.
