No, it does not do anything you couldn't do with Total Recorder and Goldwave; I also have both of those, but am still excited by Virtual Recorder for several reasons:
1. It is free. 2. It is very simple to use. 3. It is very easy to install or may be used as portable. 4. It is very easy to configure. I publish five podcasts and over 160 radio programs weekly, have many presenters and collaborators all over the planet with different skills and purchace ability, therefore Virtual Recorder fills a real need for me, something that used to be easy, when most sound cards had Stereo Mix or What you hear.
