Hi Adrian, Thanks again for your help. I tried pressing F-12 and than entering my folder's name and the name of my new document, but it went into my document files and not into the named folder.
I go back to the DOS days when we would use back slashes to determine the different areas we wanted the document to go into. I'll give you an example and can you please let me know what I should type after pressing F-12. Lets say my folder's name is JAWS, and the new document I just typed I want to call it 1234, Now, I want my new document 1234 to go into the JAWS folder. How do I type this after hitting F-12? Thanks again, Al -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf of Adrian Spratt Sent: Wednesday, June 29, 2016 6:37 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] How can I get Word Docs into folders The short answer is press F12, then type the path and filename. If this doesn't mean much to you, would you post back with the name of your folder. If you happen to know if this folder is a subfolder of a larger one, include that name as well. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Al Sorrentino Sent: Wednesday, June 29, 2016 6:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] How can I get Word Docs into folders Hi Adrian, Thank you very much, your instructions worked great!!! Now, how can I send a new document that I have just typed into a particular folder that is already set up? Thanks for any help. With the document closed, place focus against its name and press control-x for "cut." 2. Move focus to the desired folder and press control-v. Note. Be sure nothing in the target folder is verbalized as "selected." If you're unsure, press control-spacebar to deselect before pressing control-v. If all your documents are to be moved into the same folder, you can select all with control-a, then press control-x. Then proceed by moving to the desired folder and press control-v. Please post again if this isn't clear or if you're looking for something more. For example, you may want to move several files, but not all of them, into the same folder. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Al Sorrentino Sent: Wednesday, June 29, 2016 4:07 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] How can I get Word Docs into folders Hi Everyone, I have Word 2010, Windows 7 and JAWS 13 I was finally able to set up folders in my Word documents by using Alt F, than w and than entering my folder's name.
