Hello list, Am I misunderstanding, I thought I heard one of my friends say you can get it for a monthly subscription... now it might not be cheaper in the long run, but a subscription would make it a little easier to afford... Plus, I just got a windows suite, for free my my university, I was able to get, outlook, word, excel, powerpoint... It is ridiculous to have to pay 250 bucks for something that is necessary I hope we can all find affordable software andy

If I am forced to abandon 2007, I'll look at Open Office. My needs now don't include paying $200 or more for Office. For Security Essentials, I have the original installer. I suspect Windows update will still continue to update it if it sees it installed. That should hold me over until I can find an accessible anti virus.
