Hello, Just a slight correction; with this office365 subscription, one is not compelled to store their files online although they can do so if they choose. The purpose of the subscription is to be able to get the office versions at a more reasonable cost. The only item that is online is the download and installation of office new updates are delivered automatically and an alert is displayed when a new office version is available. I have not encountered this yet to be able to discuss its accessibility but I have installed office from the website and it is very accessible. I too like to store my files on the pc but I have office through the university's Office365 subscription. If I wanted to, I could elect to sign in to OneDrive where I would have storage and could save my files there. If one is at all interested in the office subscription options and what is included, they should go to office365.com I hope that helps
