Hi Dave,
Tried that with no luck. Completely uninstalled JAWS 18 with narrator and
tried to reinstall it again. No success there either. Repairing does not
work. I get errors with that too.

Press Windows+R
Then type JAWS18 and press enter.

See if that brings JAWS up and running.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Serious problem with latest update

Hello,

I have a serious problem that appears to be related to the latest build of
JAWS 18,, that was released earlier this month.

I was able to use this build for a while, but I can't remember what lead up
to this problem, but I will explain.

After restarting my computer completely during the week, I lost all speech.
When I pressed J for JAWS on the desktop and pressed enter on the shortcut,
I received a message stating that there was a problem with the shortcut. I
tried to repair JAWS but I received another message stating that I had to
verify that I had access to the file, JFW.exe. I could not do this. There
was no option of verifying such access. The only solution I could try was to
completely remove JAWS, then reinstall the version on the cd.

How can I sort this out?

Thanks.

Alana
