Woe, woe, don't shoot the messenger, I was just sharing this setting with the group. 1. First of all I have a second USB sound card, so I am not worried. 2. Second of all, I have always aloud my computer to download and install driver updates automatically, no problems after many years of doing so. 3. Third of all, These updates for the apps and icons and maybe drivers, come from the manufacture of your computer according to this setting, as far as I understand. If you know for sure differently about this, please share...thanks...Smiles...

Updating device drivers is only recommended when it adds additional security, or fixes a specific problem.
