Well I have 2 email accounts setup under this identity right now, but I've had
as high as 3 already. Now what happens in this case when I go to send a
message if I shift tab from the to field I land in a list view of the three
separate email accounts. Then I can up and down arrow to which ever account I
wish to send the message from. I really don't believe that it is possible to
setup 2 exact same email accounts under a single identity because no matter
what the display name field says OE doesn't care about that. All it cares
about is the email account settings.

Dana -

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but how could that work? The messages to
which he would want to reply would have come into his mother's identity or
his, depending on which one was made the default, and since the e-mail
address would apparently be the same for both parties, there'd be no way to
really keep the mail separated by person. It'd just be the luck of the draw
as to which Inbox any particular set of messages would wind up in and as
soon as he changed identities in OE, the mail in Inbox #1 would go away. It
wouldn't be lost, of course, but there very definitely would be two entirely
separate mail folders on the computer, each with an Inbox, Sent Items, etc.

This is, of course, the ideal solution. But, if it is not possible, you can
always set up a second mail account in the Outlook express, Tools, accounts
area. You can configure it identically to your mother's mail account,
changing only the Name field to your own name, and giving the new account a
distinctive account name. Then, just use this new account when replying to
your own messages.

Blessed Be,

Dana
