Hi Lisa, I used to have the same problem with Yahoo when my ISP servers were moved to Yahoo servers. All the messages I wanted would invariably end up in my bulk folder, and I would get spam in the subject line.
One thing I did, and this may take a wile because it did for me, is possibly checking your mail through webmail and adding each message sender that ends up in your bulk folder to your online address book. I started doing this when my problem started, and, at the moment, it is very rare to find any message I wish to read in the bulk folder. The other good thing is that I changed my settings through web mail not to download my spam messages, and leave them on the server's bulk folder until I've had a chance to review them, that way, the ones I do keep will get added to my online address book, and the ones I delete will get sent to oblivion. I should note that I use Outlook Express, and once it's come into my inbox through OE, it's virtually impossible to sort and tell the server that a particular message is safe, as opposed to spam. This is the case for me, and may not be the case for everyone. In any case, I would see if you are able to check your e-mail through web mail, and if you are, checking your spam settings through there. If you find that the server is going to send you your message, whether they be spam from the bulk folder or safe mail from your inbox, then I would suggest you check your mail through webmail first, than download the ones you want to keep into your OE. You should read up on the reasons for spam in the Yahoo information pages if you have an account, it's quite revealing, and that's why I go through so much trouble. In any case, whether you are having this problem through webmail, or through OE, try adding each of the message senders to your address book, whether online or local on your hard drive, and I think you'll find that, unless you have a message rule telling OE to send the messages to your bulk folder, they will start landing in their proper folder.
