Hi Debbie,
Whenever you replace hardware components,
Jaws authorization will require re-activation.
This is because the hardware changes, apparently alter the way Jaws obtains
it's code.
HTH,
Ricque

Subject: [jaws-users] Reasons for JAWS Activvation?

Hi:

I have JAWS on a removable drive at school. Someone used the drive, but
luckily made an image of mine first. After the person was finished
reinstalling it again, I had to activate JAWS again. I don't know anything
about imaging, but assumed This is normal, because an image would not save
the activation, correct?
Now the second time I had to activate JAWS again was on my home computer.
Here is where I am totally lost! I had the shop upgrade the ram only... they
didn't do anything to the hard drive, so does anyone know why I needed to go
through activation again? Thanks, Deb.
