Hi Debbie, Whenever you replace hardware components, Jaws authorization will require re-activation. This is because the hardware changes, apparently alter the way Jaws obtains it's code. Hi: I have JAWS on a removable drive at school. Someone used the drive, but luckily made an image of mine first. After the person was finished reinstalling it again, I had to activate JAWS again. I don't know anything about imaging, but assumed This is normal, because an image would not save the activation, correct? Now the second time I had to activate JAWS again was on my home computer. Here is where I am totally lost! I had the shop upgrade the ram only... they didn't do anything to the hard drive, so does anyone know why I needed to go through activation again? Thanks, Deb.
