Yes, that's what I would have to do, however I can do anything I need to do with Jaws without it. You can look in Jaws help for laptop keystrokes.

On a previous computer that I had at work, Function+Scroll-Lock locked the num pad into the on mode. Once you were done entering numbers, you would use the Function+Scroll-Lock key combination to unlock the num pad.
