Go to the view menu and select list to make the files go down instead of
across. While in the view menu, you can press enter once you get to sort by,
and then ascending. Now, go to folder options and in the view tab, hit the
button that says apply this view to all folders, and you shouldn't have to ever
do it again.

What program are you working in? What version of JAWS are you using? And
it is also helpful to let us know what operating system you are using. When
you talk about ascending order, what are you referring to, date, or
something else? I'm sure once you provide more info, we will be able to
help you.

Hi all. I know that when you hit alt v and then d you can set things to be
viewd in descending order. WhatI want to know is how do you set it so that
you don't always have to hit that key stroke every time? Many thanks for all
your help. from Mich Verrier from New Liskeard Ontario Canada.
