Simon: I really don't know except I heard that 5.x is 64bit and I clients whose
main computers are still 32 bit. Having said that, I only have one client who
is upgrading , and that is from PICK R83, so I guess I could insist that he get
a 64 bit os. Just as an aside to this, I attempted to install 4.x on my 64 bit
system. Its Windows 7, HOME PREMIUM. I discovered that this system does not
have the "users and groups" under computer management, because MS didn't think
anybody with a home version would need it. What does the group recomend as an
OS today? Dave Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2012 08:44:37 +0100

Stupid question (is it ?) ?

If you are migrating forwards from 3.4 - why are you only moving to
4.X when 5.X is the current version? Aren't you better off making
the jump to the very latest and greatest release?

        Good morning all:

I feel its time for me to become familiar with jb 4.x. I have
downloaded and run the install package but now am in unfamiliar
        territory.

My jb 3 used to have several programs listed in the programs
file when installed, but 4.x only shows jshell and jdc, neither
of which produce any results when I click on them. I remember
seeing some documentation on activation but can't remember where
it was now. Can some-one give me quick push in the right
direction to get this up and running.
