Hi, all! Can anyone please tell me the difference between EDELETE and
DELETE, and whether one is preferred over the other? I used EDELETE
yesterday to remove a record. I forgot the quotes and removed the whole
file. Trying to do some research to see if there's a safer way to delete
things, but jBASE documentation is not so good.
To be clear, the command I used yesterday was EDELETE *filename* *record*,
instead of EDELETE *filename* "*record*". It deleted *filename*, then told
me it couldn't find a dictionary item for *record*. So basically it deleted
everything BUT the record I chose. :(
    Thanks,
         Joyce
