Common freaking courtesy.  My original note explained that I 
was having difficulty finding the quoted clause in this
thread.

You didn't have to be the person to respond.  Anybody could
have done it.  By default, I'd like to think that non-helpful
responses simply don't get posted -- by default.  

Normally I'd behave that way, but I was actually (gasp!)
hoping to get an answer to my question.
