Personally I don't understand how EJB projects could fail. Its a technology
component similar in approach (though without much of the pain) to COM+. If
you have a project fail with EJB (and you are properly using EJB and not
just using it because its there), then I don't know what you're going to do
other than move to COM+ or roll your own and recreate much of the
functionality that EJB gives you for free.

Also, lots of projects fail... all the time. Now they are just failing while
trying to use EJB :)

The "decision makers" at your company are clueless pigs. Techno peasants at
best. Don't bring them in here, we need the pure clear fresh air for
training...

ok joking apart.

I found the report to be useless. I need "details" of what went wrong (I
have little use for opinions and impressions they tend to be random
datapoints). Is it WebLogic specific? is it lack of EJB expertise? is it
inadequacy of j2ee to the problem? heck, was it j2ee? Your mail (as most
negative mails) is very vague and just throws Fear Uncertainty and Doubt
from the side lines but provides no hard data.

But this is the open source my friend... you have dirty laundry? put it in
the light and center stage and we will see if it is really dirty and if it
is we will do something about it.

I am saying this because everything that is good for WebLogic is good for us
and everything that is bad for WebLogic is bad for us.

marc

PS: sorry for the tone, you are the first one that comes with this "you know
j2ee is dead!" pitch, so let's hear it, let's hear it. Please let's hear it.
