You appear to be lacking a line in your jboss.jcml that looks like
this:
<attribute name="URL">jdbc:HypersonicSQL:hsql://localhost</attribute>
It should be in the section that starts like this:
<mbean name="DefaultDomain:service=XADataSource,name=Hypersonic">
If that is not enough to solve your problem, please reply with the full
contents of your jboss.conf and jboss.jcml files (they're in the "conf"
directory).
