Not following.. from your above it seems as you can say "A" and
"db-is-shared" at the same time. This is impossible with what I proposed,
since there is only one flag.

Proposal: commit option flag in XML can have five values:
<commit-option>A</commit-option>
<commit-option>B</commit-option>
<commit-option>C</commit-option>
<commit-option>db-is-not-shared</commit-option> <!-- same as A but easier to
understand-->
<commit-option>db-is-shared</commit-option> <!-- same as C but easier to
understand-->

Clear?
