"RXP is a validating XML parser written in c."

We build all of our deployment descriptors by hand and therefore we use
rxp to validate the XML before packaging and deployment. We also use XML
in numerous other places in the system so it's always nice to have a
simple validating parser which you can run from the command line on hand.
That way you don't waste your time debugging your test data and do waste
it debugging your app.

It will auto-fetch the dtd from the doctype header and is overall a useful
thing to use before jarring and deploying. It saves some headaches and
you can become addicted to it after a while.

Unless you're constantly working on your deployment descriptors, you may
not want to bother with it. I mentioned it because I use it.
