Your subject reads you are using win2k.
I faced a typical problem with win2k which I wish to share with all:
Win2k professional stores the user profiles and therefore any temp file
being created by any application under the directory "c:\documents and
settings".
My first tiff with ejb was using an evaluation copy of weblogic 5.1 which
refused to work under win 2k professional. However, after I changed the
profiles directory to c:\profiles, the problem was solved.
Actually that's when I was inspired to look at JBoss and based on my last
night experince, am impressed to find the cleanliness of how simple yet
thorough JBoss is.
