After porting our
J2EE application from Weblogic to JBoss, I'm finally seeing the light at the end
of the proverbial tunnel. I was thinking that since weblogic tends to
"recommend" versions of JDK 1.3 to run with their major releases due to better
stability and/or performance, what does the JBoss team use for Windows (2000 or
XP), Linux, Solaris, et. al? Obviously, most minor versions of the JDK patch
bugs, but I've seen issues in the past where a minor version upgrade can
distrupt the stability of an appserver. Sad, but true. What are your picks for
stability and/or performance from your Q/A group?
