I think, that good way of maintaining user manual is to create
another project on dbforms CVS in docbook format...
Yes, I appreciate, that this solution includes some redundant work with
transforming existing manual to docbook format, but advantages,
possible extensibility and variability of output from docbook format 
(via user defined XSLT sheets) overwhelm possible disadvantages...

Personal note: It was little bit annoying, that user guide was available
only as a m$ word document... (i'm using linux, there is no copy of that
'operating' system from m$ on my computer, so reading and especially
printing user guide was difficult... 
StarOffice or OpenOffice is no solution for me
