i totally agree with you, Dirk, your proposal is very reasonable.

the new release (with all the features+enhancements people have submitted in
the last months) should be in sync with docu and i think that the conversion
to docbook might be a quite huge task which might delay the release.

Therefore i would update the MS-Word file first - however it is clear that a
xml based docu has lots of advantages over the proprietare DOC format, and
xml-docbook might really be the future. but i would wait with the conversion
until the next release is out.
