In my case it happened to a program with a coding error. At least I think
that was the reason. I fixed the error, and the problem hasn't recurred
(yet). But it would be nice if a) the VM didn't hang on bugs and b) if it
must hang, there should be some graceful way out through the JDE. I'd be
happy to use C-k if it worked, but it doesn't always (on Win98 with Cygwin
bash shell it seems somewhat iffy). -- Art
