OK, it happened again and I took your advice, found winoldapp in the task
list, clicked "end task," and wound up killing Emacs. But I can exit from
Emacs normally, which seems preferable. Shouldn't the Java VM be in the task
list somewhere? If it was, I couldn't find it. -- Art
