I just committed r301 which adds Java 8 into the recognized set of JDK
registry entries. This was mostly because I needed the documentation
lookup provided by C-c C-v C-w when I looked at a Java file after almost
a year ;-)
I have not got to jde-compile.el yet (which prints the prompt Javier
reported above) since it is a relatively harmless but annoying bug when
compiling single files. Will try to do that and put out a release with
the handful of patches we've seen over the last 18 months.
