Well, this would apply for server-based approaches as well, no? I mean, if you use JEP-0065 you might end up doing p2p or proxy. So I don't see this as either-or. It seems that we need a JEP that defines this for the one-to-one case (I'm leaving voice conference out of it for now, but I think we can build that on top of MUC somehow -- need to think about that some more). Any objections if I start on a JEP defining the Stream Initiation profile for voice chat? :-) Also, I was happy to see the numbers you provided about the small size of Speex data -- that is good news for us!
