As noted in https://github.com/jenkinsci/jenkins/commit/84318cc97d024447d17a411f85ca1acd93a3425d it would be possible to use the term ‘job’ when all registered TopLevelItemDescriptor’s have a clazz assignable to Job, which would be the case in the current Jenkins bundled plugin list. Not sure if this is really more helpful or just confusing (since then installing a new plugin could change the text of existing links). > All other links, messages, etc. still call the created item „job“.
