I've also just downloaded and updated to version 1.549, RPM for CentOS jenkins-1.549-1.1.noarch.
But it seems there is no change in /etc/default/jenkins and restored directory is still the same, /tmp/jetty-xxxxx. So I wonder this issue is fixed or not.
My workaround is excluding /tmp/jetty* directory from tmpwatch cron with -X '/tmp/jetty*' option.
