Dear Friend,

The love that God has for His children is immeasurable and everlasting. As a father
holds their child as the apple of their eye, so it is with God who has created us in
His image. Never believe the lie that Jesus Christ does not love you or care about
you. We have never known such love as God has for His people. The Bible declares in
Psalm 103:8-12 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in
mercy. He will not always chide: neither will He keep His anger for ever. He hath
not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as
the
heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear him. As
far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.
Be encouraged and know that God loves you and will be there when you call upon Him.
(Jeremiah 31:3) (Psalm 37:3-6)

I hope you are encouraged by today's message to rest in the love of God and
know that He has great plans for your life.

CHRISTMAS LOVE

Each December, I vowed to make Christmas a calm and peaceful experience.

I had cut back on nonessential obligations - extensive card writing, endless baking,
decorating, and even overspending. Yet still, I found myself exhausted, unable to
appreciate the precious family moments, and of course, the true meaning of Christmas.

My son, Nicholas, was in kindergarten that year. It was an exciting season for a six
year old. For weeks, he'd been memorizing songs for his schools Winter Pageant. I
didn't have the heart to tell him I'd be working the night of the production.

Unwilling to miss his shining moment, I spoke with his teacher. She assured me there
would be a dress rehearsal the morning of the presentation. All parents unable to
attend that evening were welcome to come then.
Fortunately, Nicholas seemed happy with the compromise.

So, the morning of the dress rehearsal, I filed in 10 minutes early, found a spot on
the cafeteria floor and sat down. Around the room, I saw several other parents
quietly scampering to their seats. As I waited, the students were led into the room.
Each class, accompanied by their teacher, sat cross-legged on the floor. Then, each
group, one by one, rose to perform their song. Because the public school system had
long stopped referring to the holiday as Christmas, I didn't expect anything other
than fun,
commercial entertainment - songs of reindeer, Santa Claus, snowflakes and good cheer.
So, when my son's class rose to sing, Christmas Love, I was slightly taken aback by
its bold title.

Nicholas was aglow, as were all of his classmates, adorned in fuzzy mittens, red
sweaters, and bright snowcaps upon their heads.

Those in the front row - center stage - held up large letters, one by one, to spell
out the title of the song.

As the class would sing C is for Christmas, a child would hold up the letter C. Then,
H is for Happy, and on and on, until each child holding up his portion had presented
the complete message, Christmas Love

The performance was going smoothly, until suddenly, we noticed her - a small, quiet,
girl in the front row holding the letter M upside down - totally unaware her letter M
appeared as a W

The audience of 1st through 6th graders snickered at this little one's mistake. But
she had no idea they were laughing at her, so she stood tall, proudly holding her W

Although many teachers tried to shush the children, the laughter continued until the
last letter was raised, and we all saw it together. A hush came over the audience and
eyes began to widen. In that instant, we understood - the reason we were there, why we
celebrated the holiday in the first place, why even in the chaos, there was a purpose
for our festivities.

For when the last letter was held high, the message read loud and clear: CHRIST WAS
LOVE.

And, I believe, He still is.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 86:4-7 Rejoice the soul of Thy servant: for unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my
soul. For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all
them that call upon Thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice
of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon Thee: for Thou wilt
answer me.

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid,
neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

1 John 1:8-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is
not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we
make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Jeremiah 29:11-14 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto
you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your
heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD

Dear Friend,

We are to live our life as living testimonies unto the Lord. We are not to be
conformed to this world, but rather we are to live purely and allow our light to shine
in the midst of the darkness that is around us. Whether we realize it or not, the
unbeliever is watching to see if we are practicing what we preach. The most important
thing that any believer can do besides witnessing to others the saving grace of Jesus
Christ is to live life by His statutes. Doing what's right in God's eyes regardless
of whether
people are watching us is sure to please the Lord and keep His hand of blessing upon
our life. I encourage you to always do the right thing no matter how small it might
be because your testimony will speak volumes of the life that you have lived. (Romans
12:1-2) (Matthew 5:14-16) (James 4:15-17)

I hope you are encouraged by today's message to live your life as a living testimony
so that others may see God through you and in effect be turned to Him for their
eternal salvation.

THE STOP LIGHT

Two cars were waiting at a stoplight. The light turned green, but the man didn't
notice it. A woman in the car behind him is watching traffic pass around them. The
woman begins pounding on her steering wheel and yelling at the man to move. The man
doesn't move. The woman is going ballistic inside her car, ranting and raving at the
man, pounding on her steering wheel and dashboard.

The light turns yellow and the woman begins to blow the car horn and screams profanity
and curses at the man. The man looks up, sees the yellow light and accelerates
through the intersection just as the light turns red. The woman is beside herself,
screaming in frustration as she misses her chance to get through the intersection.

As she is still in mid-rant, she hears a tap on her window and looks up into the
barrel of a gun held by a very serious looking policeman. The policeman tells her to
shut off her car while keeping both hands in sight.
She complies, speechless at what is happening.

After she shuts off the engine, the policeman orders her to exit her car with her
hands up. She gets out of the car and he orders her to turn and place her hands on
her car. She turns, places her hands on the car roof and quickly is cuffed and hustled
into the patrol car. She is too bewildered by the chain of events to ask any
questions and is driven to the police station where she is fingerprinted,
photographed, searched, booked and placed in a cell.

After a couple of hours, a policeman approaches the cell and opens the door for her.
She is escorted back to the booking desk where the original officer is waiting with
her personal effects. He hands her the bag containing her things, and says, I'm
really sorry for this mistake. But you see, I pulled up behind your car while you
were blowing your horn and cussing a blue streak at the man ahead of you. Then I
noticed the: ~Choose Life license plate holder, the ~What Would Jesus Do bumper
sticker, the
~Follow Me to Sunday School bumper sticker and the chrome plated Christian
fish emblem on the trunk.

So, naturally . . . I assumed you had stolen the car.

It is easy for any person to give in to frustration and lose their temper in anger,
but we as believers are separate from this world and so we should be Christ minded at
all times and continually put on the garment of praise.
The Bible tells us in Isaiah 61:3 to put on the garment of praise for the spirit of
heaviness. Even in the times of trials that tempt us to lose our peace and joy, we
are to lift up the name of Lord by our praise for His provision and confession of His
faithfulness. (Ephesians 4:22-27)

Be encouraged to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord continually and do not fall
for the tricks of the enemy. Have confidence in the ability of our God and do your
best to be a faithful representative of His Love on the earth. (Deuteronomy 12:28)
(John 8:44) (1 John 4:11-13)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Isaiah 26:3-4 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee:
because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH
is everlasting strength.

Matthew 7:12-14 Jesus says Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do
to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Enter ye in at
the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to
destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and
narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Psalm 37:23-27 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in
his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down:
for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have
I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful,
and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for
evermore.
