Dear Friend,

The goodness of the Lord is extended from generation to generation. He
does not deal with us as we deserve, but has given us His mercy and love
and wishes for us to walk uprightly. The Bible says the Lord is righteous
in all His ways and Holy in all His works. Everything the Lord has created
has a purpose and plan that is meant to be fulfilled. We must remember and
keep in mind that our life has a purpose that is meant to be brought to
fruition. Never doubt your existence or question why you are alive in this
time in history. Your life is proof positive that God has great plans that
only you have been equipped with to bring them to pass. Never allow the
enemy to discourage your heart or make you think that you are not able.
God justifies you and has given you all that you need. The Bible declares
in Romans 8:34 “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea
rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also
maketh intercession for us.” Encourage yourself to stand in your authority
knowing that your life is not insignificant, but rather it is great and
meant for a mighty purpose. (Psalm 103:10-14) (Psalm 145:17) (Jeremiah 29:11)

I hope this message encourages your heart to never doubt your purpose or your
abilities.

LITTLE CANDLE

Once upon a time a little candle stood in a room filled with other candles,
most of them much larger and much more beautiful than she was. Some were ornate
and some were rather simple, like herself. Some were white, some were blue,
some were pink, some were green. She had no idea why she was there, and the
other candles made her feel rather small and insignificant.

When the sun went down and the room began to get dark, she noticed a large
man walking toward her with a ball of fire on a stick. She suddenly realized
that the man was going to set her on fire. “No, no!” she cried, “Don't burn me,
please!” But she knew that she could not be heard and prepared for the pain
that would surely follow.

To her surprise, the room filled with light. She wondered where it came from
since the man had extinguished his fire stick. To her delight, she realized
that the light came from herself.

Then the man struck another fire stick and, one by one, lit the other
candles in the room. Each one gave out the same light that she did.

During the next few hours, she noticed that, slowly, her wax began to flow.
She became aware that she would soon die. With this realization came a
sense of why she had been created. “Perhaps my purpose on earth is to give
out light until I die,” she mused. And that's exactly what she did.

God created you and I to produce light in a dark world. Like that little
candle, we all can produce the same amount of light, no matter how small we
are or what color we might be. But we can't produce light until we receive
it from an outside source. That source is Jesus Christ, the light of the world.

Addendum -- Matthew 5:16 “'In the same way, let your light shine before
men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven'.”

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Romans 8:31-32 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us,
who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him
up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this
one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth
unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of
the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 145:14-19 “The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those
that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon Thee; and Thou givest them their
meat in due season. Thou openest Thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of
every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and Holy in all His
works. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call
upon Him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him: He also
will hear their cry, and will save them.”

Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on
Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the
Lord Jehovah is Everlasting Strength.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.

Dear Friend,

We should start each new day remembering the promise of God found in
Jeremiah 29:11 which declares “For I know the thoughts that I think toward
you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an
expected end.” The Lord does not instill within our hearts fear so that
we will fail, but rather He gives each of us a measure of faith and wishes
for us to believe His Word and stand strong in life. Jesus Christ has
already conquered death, hell and the grave. When Jesus was on the cross,
He said It Is Finished. Everything that we require to live in Victory has
already been accomplished for us by the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the
cross of Calvary. (Romans 12:3) (Revelation 1:18) (John 19:30) (Mark 16:15-20)

He gave His life for us so that we may stand in victory for Him. Believe
in yourself as God believes in you and reach forth towards your goals with
assurance that God is cheering you on. He does not wish for you to fail,
but rather He wants you to succeed and do so triumphantly. The Bible
declares in 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Always remember that God
loves you and wishes for you to end victoriously. (2 Timothy 4:7-8)

I hope this message ministers to your heart to believe in yourself no
matter what anyone else says about you. Remember you and God are the
majority and as long as you depend on Him, victory is promised to be yours.

CHOOSING CONFIDENCE

Carefully examining a display in the drugstore, a man asked the pharmacist,
“Do you really guarantee this hair-restorer?”

The pharmacist responded, “Better than that, sir. We give a comb with every
bottle.” Wouldn't you love to have that kind of confidence?

One man quipped, “When it comes to believing in myself, I'm an agnostic.”
One of the greatest problems many people experience is lack of confidence. Some
don't believe in their ability to speak in public, others are afraid to try
something they've never done before, and still others do not have the
confidence to overcome their shyness.

Do you know that you can become more confident? One effective technique is
to learn to do what you're afraid to do.

I led a seminar a few years ago where I asked for three volunteers to speak
to the group the next day. One young woman named Judy was the first to
raise her hand. She explained to me later why she did so: “When you asked
for three volunteers,” Judy said, “I felt a knot of fear in my stomach.
I've never done anything like this before and I've never really believed I
could. But the fear was telling me something,” she continued. “So...because I
felt so anxious, I decided that this was something I had to do. But I must to
tell you, I'm terrified!”

She made up her mind to do that which she was afraid to do. And the following
day, Judy's five-minute talk was superb! She was honest and genuine, speaking
right from her heart. Now she is more confident about her ability to speak in
public.

People who are confident have choices. People who are fearful too often
avoid much of life because they are afraid to venture into unknown territory.

Jim Loehr said, “With confidence, you can reach truly amazing heights;
without confidence, even the simplest accomplishments are beyond your
grasp.” When you make what you're afraid to do what you CHOOSE to do, you
will soon have the confidence TO DO whatever you choose!

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not
afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee
whithersoever thou goest.”

Psalm 37:3-6 “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the
land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and
He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the
LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring
forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”

Hebrews 10:22-24 “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of
faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies
washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith
without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;) And let us consider
one another to provoke unto love and to good works.”

Psalm 37:23-25 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He
delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down:
for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am
old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath
begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
