All parents beware Stay awake for we are not battling with the flesh!
If you have children or grandchildren, work with children at church, or
you
have neighborhood children whose parents you know, please take note of the
information below and pass it along to others. Schools are distributing
this
book to children through the Scholastic Book Club.
The name of the book is Conversations with God.. James Dobson talked about
this book twice this week. It is devastating. Parents, churches and
Christian schools need to be aware of it. Please pass this information on to
church/e-mail addressees, Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins,
friends.
Please pay special attention not only to what your kids watch on TV, in
movie theaters, on the internet, and the music they listen to, but also
be
alert regarding the books they read.
Two particular books are, Conversations with God and Conversations with
God for Teens, written by Neale D. Walsch. They sound harmless enough by their
titles alone. The books have been on the New York Times best sellers list for
a number of weeks, and they make truth of the statement, 'Don't judge a book by
its cover or title.'
The author purports to answer various questions asked by kids using the
'voice of God'. However, the 'answers' that he gives are not Bible-based
and
go against the very infallible word of God. For instance (and I
paraphrase),
when a girl asks the question 'Why am I a lesbian?' His answer is that she
was 'born that way' because of genetics (just as you were born
right-handed,
with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and 'celebrate' her
differences.
Another girls poses the question 'I am living with my boyfriend. My
parents
say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry
him?'
His reply is, 'Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done
nothing wrong.'
Another question asks about God's forgiveness of sin. His reply 'I do not
forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive. There is no such
thing
as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do
not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is
wrong,
because the rule is ''judge not lest ye be judged.' Not only are these
books the false doctrine of the devil, but in some instances quote (in error)
the Word of God.
And the list goes on. These books (and others like it) are being sold to
schoolchildren through (The Scholastic Book Club), and we need to be aware
of what is being fed to our children.
Our children are under attack. So I pray that you be sober and vigilant
about teaching your children the Word of God, and guarding their exposure
to worldly mediums, because our adversary, the devil, roams about as a roaring
lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We know that lions usually hunt
for the slowest, weakest and YOUNGEST of its prey.
Pass this on to every Believer you know. God bless! And, if you are in
doubt, check out the books yourself.

Dia menawar perahu mau keliling2 di Danau Galilea dan diberitahu pemilik perahu
bahwa sewa perahu US$10/jam.
Mahal kali ?!!!!!!..*@ ...Di Danau Toba Negara saya Indonesia , sewa perahu gak
sampai separuh nya.. itu pun sudah puas naik perahu berkeliling' !!
Pemilik perahu menjawab ' ini kan di Israel bukan di Indonesia ... di Danau ini
lah Tuhan Yesus berjalan di atas air....'
Mendengar jawaban pemilik perahu itu, spontan turis batak tersebut berjalan
pergi sambil merepet... '
OoOo...Patut ma Antong, gabe mardalan pat Tuhan Yesus najolo, ai sumaling do
hape argani sewa ni solu di tao Galilea on!!!!!..'
"Pantaslah, jadi berjalan di atas air Tuhan Yesus waktu itu, soalnya mahal kali
sewa perahu di danau Galilea ini."

KEBERHASILAN
Memang banyak orang Kristen atau Katolik yang doanya begini : "Tuhan, beri aku
'kesuksesan', 'keberhasilan', 'kesembuhan mujizat', 'kekayaan', 'dipuji dan
dihormati orang' 'jodoh'.." Dan lain sebagainya. Ini Kekristenan tingkat bayi.
Lebih parah lagi mereka berkata begini : "Keberhasilan ini berkat 'kerja
kerasku'..berkat 'moralku yang tinggi'.dan sebagainya.
Saya berkata, wah hebat sekali ya ? Moralnya tinggi lho, tidak seperti saya
yang pencuri, seks bebas, narkoba, penari bugil, pembunuh, pembuat kerusuhan,
punya anak diluar nikah dan lain-lain menurut data-data dan informasi dari
istri simpanan boss konglomerat, tokoh papan atas, yang terhormat, terpercaya
dan berpengaruh itu..wuiiiih!
Baru tadi malam saya berdoa : "Tuhan, aku tidak mau tenggelam dalam kesibukan
yang dapat menyeret hatiku menjauh daripadaMu. Jika kontrak kerja ini dapat
menyeret hatiku menjauh daripadaMu, batalkan saja kontrak kerja ini."
Dan kalau saya mau dapat proyek, saya berdoa begini : "Tuhan, kalau proyek ini
dapat menyeret hatiku menjauh daripadaMu, gagalkan saja proyek ini."
Karena hati melekat kepada Tuhan, itu yang saya mau, lebih dari keberhasilan,
kesuksesan, dalam dunia sekuler maupun pelayanan. Tidak juga kekayaan dan
penghormatan dari manusia. Biarkan saja saya di fitnah-fitnah luar biasa dengan
segala penghinaan yang mengikutinya, asal hati saya terus melekat pada Tuhan
Jesus yang saya cintai. Dan saya terus belajar untuk mengenal hatiNya lebih dan
lebih lagi. Itu saja yang saya peduli. Amin.
Hanya anak-anak Tuhan di level ini yang punya hati untuk orang-orang kecil dan
orang-orang berdosa yang terpinggirkan. Sedangkan para ' orang sukses dan
berhasil ini', hanya memandang dari mobil mewahnya dan menghakimi. "Salah
sendiri..tidak jujur seperti aku sih, makanya miskin. Salah sendiri, tidak
bermoral seperti aku sih, makanya miskin. Salah sendiri, tidak kerja keras
seperti aku sih, makanya miskin. Makanya, belajar dari aku dong...! Aku sukses
karena aku pintar, kerja keras, jujur dan lain-lain kemegahan diri.
Saya mau ingatkan Firman Tuhan berikut :
Siapa yang menganggap dirimu begitu penting ? Apa yang kamu miliki yang tidak
kamu terima ? mengapa kamu memegahkan diri seolah-olah kamu tidak menerimanya ?
Renungi sendiri.
Tidak heran kalau Tuhan Jesus berkata : "orang kaya sulit masuk Kerajaan Sorga.
Lebih mudah seekor unta masuk ke lobang jarum daripada orang kaya masuk
Kerajaan Sorga"
