I'm not sure why your TestSearch is failing. Just reran it and it worked
fine for me. Try deleting the files under the SearchIndex directory. I'll
assume it's failing because there are 0 hits on the search for the word
google.
OK I think I know why ot fails for me: I live in France and I use a French ISP ;)
Apparently Google uses something like GeoIP to redirect customers to there
"local" search portal. That means that the only thing I get from www.google.com
is a small redirect page to www.google.fr which of course does not include the
word google, hence the search failure.
I see 2 options to fix this : - drop google and use another external web reference - somehow fix the lucence crawler to follow the HTTP redirects (302).
Option #1 is easier but option #2 is generally more useful.
