Hi Helder, Please define "external." Do you mean outside the VM that jetspeed is running in? If so, you may want to look into the XML-RPC service in Turbine, EJB's, RMI, etc. Currently, Jetspeed does publish functionality externally, though it would be a nice enhancement.
Now, if you are in the same VM, you can hook directly into the registry service. *===================================* * Scott T Weaver * * Jakarta Jetspeed Portal Project * * [EMAIL PROTECTED] * *===================================* > -----Original Message----- > From: Helder Pinto [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Monday, March 31, 2003 5:42 AM > To: Jetspeed User > Subject: User profile update from external application > > Hi all, > > I would like to know if it is possible to update a user profile, from an > external application, and making the changes immediately active on the > user > portal. > Imagine that I have an external Java application that processes all user > profiles and introduces a new portlet in their profile, making this > portlet > immediately available to the user. > > Is it possible?
