This is a bug that occurs when a psml is refreshed. If you try using the latest from CVS, this should fix your problem.

I've tried to edit a user's profile, while logged in, by removing an entry in
the PSML file.
After saving the file, and reloading the user page, I got the following
exception in the portal screen:


Horrible Exception: java.lang.StackOverflowError

Why does this happen? Can I manage to avoid this exception?

It does, you just have to wait ;) There is a refresh interval that defaults to
2 minutes. You can change this via the "services.PsmlManager.scanRate" property
in JR.props.
