Michael, I'm very new to Jetspeed and maybe off base here. But if you change your Layout to something other than Menu or Tab panes temporally, the Add Reference button should appear nicely.
Hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dalton-1, Michael" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "'Jetspeed Users List'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, October 10, 2003 6:51 AM Subject: RE: Mandatory Tab / Portlets - Jetspeed > Boyd - > > Thanks for your post regarding the ability the create Mandatory / Fixed tabs and portlets in Jetspeed. You mentioned in the post that you could send me a copy of your PSML files. I would love to see them as I am having problems setting this thing up here. Yes, my _newuser and _hq users have admin roles. Even then, the "Add Reference" button does not show up. ??? > > Thanks, > Michael Dalton > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Fletcher, Boyd C. With some creative use of references you can sorta alleviate problem but then you have problems with the top level panes being updated (i.e. if you want to add a new mandatory top level pane, etc...) > 2) use references and some extra accounts > > We choose option two. The user can edit the MyArea but nothing else.
