Michael, we have tested Jetspeed on a quad CPU Dell 6650 (w/ HT enabled) running Win2k SP3 with 250 concurrent users (hit same portal page with 25 portlets at same time) without problem. Biggest things to look for are: are your JVM settings correct (-Xmx, -server, -Xms). We have 4GB RAM and had dedicated 1GB to Jetspeed's JVM. Database is MS SQL 2000 server running on a quad CPU Dell 6450 running Win2k SP3. The 1.4.1_05 JVM seems to do a good job of threading across all 8 CPUS (4 real, 4 HT virtual).
We are running a big experiment over of the next 3 weeks in which jetspeed will be used. We can provide better numbers then. boyd > -----Original Message----- > From: Dalton, Michael D [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, January 23, 2004 10:32 AM > To: 'Jetspeed Users List' > Subject: Jetspeed 1.4 deployment performance ? > > Does anyone have any good source of information regarding the > performance of a fully deployed Jetspeed 1.4 configuration. > My management has been asking for "numbers".
