Much appreciated. Very interested in your results for your experiment. Please post
here or send to Michael.D.Dalton @ [n o s p a m] nasa.gov.

We are also working on a Content Management System (CMS) which will be the content
provider for our portal.

Michael,

we have tested Jetspeed on a quad CPU Dell 6650 (w/ HT enabled) running Win2k SP3 with
250 concurrent users (hit same portal page with 25 portlets at same time) without
problem. Biggest things to look for are: are your JVM settings correct (-Xmx, -server,
-Xms). We have 4GB RAM and had dedicated 1GB to Jetspeed's JVM. Database is MS SQL
2000 server running on a quad CPU Dell 6450 running Win2k SP3. The 1.4.1_05 JVM seems
to do a good job of threading across all 8 CPUS (4 real, 4 HT virtual).

We are running a big experiment over of the next 3 weeks in which jetspeed will be
used. We can provide better numbers then.
