Hmmmm.....You can do the same type of thing with the JavaMail API without
specifying Syste,.setProperty().  If you look at the code I have out on the
mail-xsp example, it should give an example.

We spent the entire last week in a network blackout, so hopefully this week
I can start looking at integrating the mail-xsp stuff into JetSpeed.  I'll
