Great !! Not only because of that, but the systems that are in production
now are using 1.1 ! Compatibility is ALWAYS a good argument.

JetSpeed 1.0b2 won't require JDK 1.2. The requirement was because

some JavaMail features. Namely you need so to a
System.setProperty()
for your providers (which isn't available on 1.1 VMs.)
This code has been removed so you can run it on JDK 1.1.
1.1 conformance is very big for me to! I am on Linux and want to
run
that IBM JDK 1.1.8 :)
