The output looks the same (title, subject, icon, etc...) but under the hood since it 
is built on Jive, it is ready to use Jive's forums.

I had this idea that you could search RSS data for keywords and weight the results 
based on differing criteria.  These criteria would be RSS origin, keyword preference, 
etc...  This would be essentially an agent that would go and find news that you want.  
Kind of like Tivo's "build you own channel" catch phrase.  Build your own RSS news 
channel.  Is this similar to your "targeted news" concept?

When it's all said and done, I would like to see somethink like Slashdot embedded in 
Jetspeed with a news posting bot (that doesn't post duplicate stories and can spell 8-)

As far as Meerkat goes, it maybe used as the initial story posting agent.  Perhaps 
working with the O'Reilly people to make Meerkat more intelligent would make Meerkat 
THE story posting agent.
