I've tested the new Customizer and while it's quite nice, I think there
are some easy improvements that can be done for the release:
- Don't use the portlet name by default for display. Use the portlet title
and fallback to portlet name is title is not defined. This is especially
important for RSS Portlets defined from feeds where the name is equal
to the URL
- Sort the portlets by title because right now the order makes no sense to
the user (I suppose it's based on the hashCode()).
- Page the portlets displayed.
I could not get the customizer to display anything when the XMLTree feed
is activated (it creates >10 000 portlets definition)
- Is it possible to easily persist the user customized settings ?
Additionnally, it's quite disconcerting to add new portlets and see that
all the portlets have been reshuffled...
