Right on - Vanessa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Maria,

Living with you is your children's birthright. Helping around your home is another birthright. Obviously, you are not going to stop feeding, housing and clothing them if they don't help around the house. But there are a thousand and one other things that they take for granted that are not their birthright. If these things won't motivate them. REMEMBER, YOU ARE THE MOTHER, WHAT YOU SAY GOES!  (Emphasis for importance!) Somewhere along the line, with our guilt about working outside the home and many other factors, we have forgotten that we are the parents and that is the only reason we need. Whether our children agree or not, we have their best interests as our motivation. Children who co-operate and contribute add to our society and it is our obligation to teach them this. And you are right, many days it is easier to just do it yourself than to make them do it. I have l! earned, if you consistently insist, their resistance becomes less and less all the time.

Kindest regards,

Vanetta
