Tat,

Try not to be so hard on yourself. If you continue to do as you are
doing with going around and throwing things out as you have been, you
will begin to see a difference. As for the article, videos & such, why
not have only one room that you allow those things to be in. Try to
begin now dealing with those things as they come in and everyday take a
handful of things that you've already accumulated and deal with that
along with what has come in and you will begin to see a difference and
dig yourself out of the hole you are in. We will be here to cheer you on
and help as we can. Try not to concentrate on everything at once. Try
to develop tunnel vision, where you only see & concentrate on one thing
at a time. We have all been where you are, maybe not with the same
items, but others and we are all trying to dig ourselves out and stay
out. No one will flee or judge you. Oh, and I love your motto "Throw
away - every day." I have one also - "Giving up is not an option." You
are so right a drop in the buck is better than a drought. Keep up the
great work and don't give up.

> I also have very little leisure time each day, as I work long hours,
and spend most evenings at launches, premieres and such. My clutter has
truly reached the stage where it could be clinically labelled
"dysfunctional", hence my questioning whether I am indeed in the correct
group. I could take some digital pics around my home and e-mail them to
the group, but I suspect that the poor group members will flee their
computers in terror!

> Nevertheless, here's a little motto that occured in my untidy brain
the other day: "Throw away - every day." Since then, I've made a point of
scouting around
> and just tossing "household garbarge" out whenever I have a moment to
spare. I've come across empty shampoo bottles in the bathroom, boxes and
containers of things I've used  that were just hanging around the place;
that kind of stuff. It may be a drop in the ocean, but a drop is better
than a drought!
