Hello Littermates,

As my subject states, today was a better day.  Mary talked to my dad this morning on the phone and 'twisted his arm' into coming to get her.  So...she is at my parents until Satuday probably. Yippieeeeee!  Of course, today was Preston's "awake day".  He slept most of the day on Wednesday, woke up at 3am this moring to chew on his hand, and was awake for most of the day.  I finally got him to sleep for an hour with the radio.  The kid hears music and goes to sleep, what can I say.   And since we only had one at home, I called my mil and asked her if she would watch him for an hour or two while Chad and I went mountain biking.  I rode 8 miles!!!  It was wonderful.  I really miss my mountain bike.  The last time I rode my bike was Memorial Weekend 1999.  Of course I rode a friend of Chad's bike last May and ended up doing a back flip.  But that is another story (riding on a motor! cross track on a bicycle is not advised.).  I used to ride all the time.  I would ride for hours after work and do long rides on the weekends.  It was not unusual for me to ride 30+ miles a day.  I can honestly say the yoga has helped, but I am way out of shape.  I can bend myself in a pretzel but don't ask me to ride my bike up hill.  LOL  I specifically asked to go riding because my bike gives me a better high than any drug I did (and that was most of them you could name off the top of your head).

I would like to thank you all again for understanding.  I knew you would.  Thank you to those who replied both to the list and privately.  It felt really good to vent.  And it also helped me get back on my bike.  I have been eyeing up my Step Reebok too.  Since I can't get out to the trail every day perhaps I can start that again.  That makes me sweat and also calms me down.  If I don't start burning up this restlessness... for lack of a better term.  Spring is my hard time.

As for my kitchen, I took Mary's toddler/child table and chairs down to the basement which cleared up a big area.  Also the tricycle is down there too.  Yes, there was a tricycle in my kitchen.  Tomorrow is tweak it day.  I have to deal with all of the little things here and there and there and there too and put them away, get rid of them, put them in my yard sale/consignment pile, ect.  I would like to vacuum the main floor.  And change the bed in the master bedroom and Preston's bassinet.  That means laundry tomorrow too.  Plus, there is about 3 loads of Chad's greasy mechanic clothes downstair to wash too.  Wow!  that is a busy day.

This weekend I am hoping to get to the closets in Mary's room.  She has a big one (8 feet wide) and a little one (4 feet wide).  I got an 8 foot organizer for that and the rod (the wire shelf with the rod built in) is going to be cut up and made into shelves in the little closet for toys, linens and stuff like that.  She gets 2 closets in her room and I get a 6 foot closet and a sink.  It just isn't fair.  LOL  Her room, the living room and the basement look like a toy store threw up.  It needs a home!

Speaking of toy stores, her birthday is coming in September.  She will be 4.  Would it be inappropriate to ask people not to buy her toys but give her, say $5 for her birthday?  I really don't want any more toys and she can't touch her bank account until she is 21 anyway so...I would like her to have a little nest egg for a house or car or trip when she is old enough.  And she doesn't need any clothes!!!  Or books.  What else is there?  I can't have any more in  this house!  I did already buy her the Fisher Price Fun Sounds Zoo.  She had that on her list since February.  She already has the other FP Zoo toys (train and baby animals) and she loves the Little People.  Plus, I figure that Preston can play with them when he is older as they are not too girly.

So, anyone working with me tomorrow?  Please don't make me work alone.

Julie
