Thanks definitively Im very new, sorry

The fping is not installed, or at least it doesn't display in the system
setup screen.

I have a Windows XP instalation, works fine, how can I get the fping
installed on Windows

Go to the Hosts screen ( Administration -> Hosts and Interfaces -> Hosts )
Find the host you want ping.

Select Manual Discovery or Manual discovery w/o portscan
The list of interfaces will be displayed and one of them should be the
reachability test.

Is fping installed?  Does the system setup screen see fping?
