I have several wireless access points on a remote private network that I
need to monitor. Through discussions on the list and with other jffnms
users, I have determined that the best way to do this to set up the
gateway of this network as a host and then each access point will be
represented by a TCP port interface on that host. In order to determine
if the access point is up or down I am checking the content on the port
to make sure the AP's web based configuration interface is up. The
problem I have run into is that exactly every other time the poller runs
the response is that the content is invalid, but it seems that if I run
the poller manually for this host the content is valid every time. Any
ideas on why this would be? At this time I don't have a regex
configured for it to check the content against because as I understand
it, if no regex is present it just looks for at least 20 characters to
be returned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
