Wow! Thank you everyone!
So here's what I found out. CTRL f when doing pg up or down, it says MDI client, there is a next button to space bar on and it locates the next occurrence. When I do CTRL insert f, it does not bring up a next button, instead it works like the internet and the find next occurrence. I rather use the latter, instead of the former. I never thought I would be excited about reading a textbook now! Back to chapter 8 on ADHD! Oops, I'm at work, so maybe tonight. -----Original Message----- From: Adrian Spratt [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, February 1, 2016 8:54 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: find next 2013 Good point about previous hits. Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Griffiths [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, February 01, 2016 11:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: find next 2013 The advantage is a single keystroke instead of two. It's also harder to find previous hits using your method. But on the other hand, it's another couple of keystrokes to try and remember! As you know, these two commands also move focus if a Word find command hasn't previously been invoked. I find it less confusing to press control-f a second time. The previous search term stays, so just press enter. If you want to keep looking for more instances, keep the find command open and repeatedly press the spacebar until all instances have been located. Press JAWS key+c to hear the context. Press escape when you want to get out of "find." Press control-f and escape again to resume searching for the same search term. If you feel the control pageup/pagedown method has advantages that I'm missing, I'd be interested in knowing what they are. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Griffiths [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, February 01, 2016 11:08 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: find next 2013 Ctrl + PageDown does a find next in Word, and Ctrl + PageUp a find previous. How can I do this in word 2013? Also, did anyone notice a difference in using CTRL jaws key f vs CTRL f? I find that CTRL insert f is much easier to use for some reason lol. Man, this is embarroussing as I should know this stuff, as I used to be a trainer hahaha.
