There seems to be some unexplained (but probably not unexplainable) reason that
JAWS is announcing control key or key sequence strikes differently.

Rather than trying to go back and filter through "the mega thread" I thought
I'd make a request for data collection here. If you are willing and if the
keyboard you use includes an applications/menu key, I'd like to know the
following:

When Applications/Menu Key is pressed, what does JAWS Announce?
“Context menu open”

When SHIFT+F10 is pressed, what does JAWS Announce?
“Context menu open”

Also says this for control, shift, f10
“Context menu open”
When INS+F10 is pressed, what does JAWS Announce?
“Window List dialog Running Applications List Box” followed by the name of an
open window
What version of JAWS are you running?
Jaws Home Use Edition Version 17.0.1377
What version of Windows, including whether 32 or 64 bit, are you running?
Windows 10 64 bit latest build
What is make/model is your computer?
HP Envy Phoenix

Perhaps a pattern will present itself.
